An alle Mathematica-Kundigen !

Problem-Erinnerung
------------------

   Export[ "demo.JPG", demo, "JPEG", ImageSize -> { 640, 640 } ]

Dieses Export-Kommando fuehrte bei MMa 4.0 auf einem Mac unter MacOS
D1-7.5.5 Rev 2 zu einer Fehlermeldung, die man als Hinweis auf einen
Programmfehler verstehen konnte :

  LinkObject::linkw: LinkObject[JPEG.exe,2,2] is closed; attempt to write
failed

obwohl schon folgende Speicherzuteilung vorgenommen worden war :

  MMa 4.0     10.268 K
  MathKernel  40.988 K
  JPEG.exe     3.028 K
  PNM.exe      9.028 K  .

Loesung

Der Support von Wolfram Research wies mich darauf hin ( leicht gekuerzt,
siehe unten ) , dass das Export-Kommando doch durchlaueft, wenn man

   JPEG.exe   20.000 K
   PNM.exe    20.000 K
   TIFF.exe   20.000 K

Speicher zuweist.

Die Untergrenzen dieser Speicherzuweisungen habe ich noch nicht
ausprobiert. Ich denke auch, dass TIFF.exe hier nicht benoetigt wird.

Aber das ist eine Loesung !

I see this error message when trying to execute

    Export[ "file.JPEG", demo, "JPEG", ImageSize -> { 640, 640 } ]

with MMa 4.0.0.0 on a Power Macintosh, 7500/100 under MacOS D1-7.5.5
Revision 2.

Please find all other details ( license information etc ) in the attached
notebook file.

Thank you for the email.

Dr. Woysch, I was able to evaluate your notebook after assigning more
memory
to the jpeg.exe, pnm.exe, and tiff.exe binaries. In fact, I assigned a 
"generous" 20000KB to each one of them.
